Our Story

Nestled amidst the emerald tea plantations and pine forests of Diyatalawa, Ophelia is more than a hotel — it is a restoration of the soul. The property sits on Majors Hill, in a stretch of the hill country known for its cool climate, quiet villages, and some of Sri Lanka's most photographed railway journeys.

Every family room opens onto a private balcony framing the surrounding hills, with a private bathroom, work desk, TV, and wardrobe. Guests are free to spend their mornings on the garden and terrace with an à la carte Asian breakfast, and their evenings tracing the same mist that first drew planters to this stretch of Uva Province more than a century ago.
